Formed at the end of June 2002 in South Wales by a group of experienced Napoleonic re-enactors, the 41st Regiment of Foot's aim is to portray this fine regiment as they would have been during the Early 19th Century and the War of 1812. During this period the 41st Foot was based in Canada and took part in many of the key battles of the war.

Working alongside the Regimental museum in Cardiff Castle, the Royal Welsh Regiment, and with help from an established group of re-enactors based in Canada, this society aims to highlight, to the public at large, what life was like for the British soldier during this often overlooked conflict.

The 41st boasts a full living history campsite, and a new addition to 2018 a 6pdr cannon, and works together with other re-enactment societies to present battle re-enactments and drill displays for the viewing public. This can be anything from a small skirmish up to a full scale battle involving Artillery barrages and Cavalry charges.

As with all societies we are always looking for new recruits who wish to take the Kings Shilling, we welcome all members of the family and anyone can take part in this exciting and unusual pastime.
